Product information
Tulbaghia violacea ‘Variegated’, commonly known as Variegated society garlic, is a clump-forming perennial with strap-shaped green leaves streaked with creamy white, creating decorative foliage interest in borders and containers. In summer it produces clusters of small, star-shaped lilac flowers above the foliage, adding subtle colour and attracting pollinators such as bees and butterflies. This cultivar thrives in moist but well-drained soil and provides ecological value by supporting nectar-feeding insects. Its compact, clump-forming habit and tolerance of light shade make it ideal for pond margins, mixed borders, and naturalistic planting schemes.
