- The veneer is presanded with grain 120.
- The thickness of the veneer is between 0.5mm and 2mm depending on the wood species used.
- Every tree is different so every veneer product has a unique appearance – This means that the colour and pattern can vary within the same wood species.
- Veneer is real wood and not an imitation like laminate or melamine.
Characteristics of commercial grade veneer:
- Small, centred knots.
- Less emphasis on structure.
- Larger and more prominent knots.
- Discoloration.
- Mineral streaks.
- More expression and more of the typical properties of the wood.
- A less regular structure with colour nuances, smaller series, and more knots.
