Overview – When a wire rope isinstalled, it is very important to have the rope suspended at the correcttension. A wire rope that is too slack could pose as a threat to health andsafety. Our range of Straining Screws / Turnbuckles are perfect for tighteningwire ropes safely and easily.
How to install – Installationis very easy, simply thread a length of wire rope around the thimble and usethe wire rope grips to securely hold the wire in place. Then attach the hook ofthe straining screw / turnbuckle to the thimble. The eye/loop end of theturnbuckle can then be attached to a plate mounted hook. Once the turnbuckle issecured, simply turn the centre of the screw to tighten or slacken the wirerope.
