Ballast Sand

Description

Ballast Sand is a mixture of stone and sharp sand. It is ideal for use with concrete to create a stronger mix. The workability of the concrete will depend on the amount of sand and water used.

This sand when mixed into concrete has many uses including making the foundations of garden walls, conservatories and sheds. It can also create small paths.

For creating smooth internal renders, use Soft Building Sand for an even finish and an easy to work mortar.
