Installation
-
Plan Your Layout
-
Mark post positions on your decking using string for alignment. Start from a corner and space the posts according to the handrail length.
-
Pre-drill 8mm pilot holes at each mark — do not fix the posts yet.
-
-
Install the First Post
-
Place the post over the pilot holes, ensuring it’s level.
-
Secure with coach bolts to a depth of at least 60mm — posts must be fixed into the joist frame, not just decking boards.
-
Attach the post foot cap to conceal fixings.
-
-
Fit the Post Cap
-
Slot the top cap onto the post and secure it using a black-coated or matching screw.
-
-
Install the Balustrade Section
-
Position the balustrade against the post and ensure it’s level.
-
Mark and drill new 8mm pilot holes, then secure using the same coach bolt method.
-
Slide the fixing bracket onto the handrail before final installation. Cover screws with the bracket cover.
-
-
Repeat for Additional Posts and Rails
-
Follow the same steps for each section. Always attach brackets before securing posts or rails.
-
-
Corner Installations
-
At corners, install two balustrade sections at right angles to the corner post, following the same method.
-
-
Gate Installation
-
Ensure the gate height matches the handrail. Use compatible latches and self-closing hinges (e.g., D&D Technologies).
-
-
Stair Sections
-
Use a flexi joiner to connect stair handrails. Seal exposed ends with end caps for a clean finish.
-
Maintenance Tips:
-
Clean regularly with mild, non-abrasive detergent.
-
Inspect monthly, especially in harsh weather conditions.
-
Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive tools to protect the powder-coated finish.
