Product information
Ludwigia glandulosa, commonly known as red Ludwigia, is a submerged to marginal aquatic perennial with delicate, narrow green leaves that mature to a deep red under full sun. In summer it produces small yellow flowers above the foliage, adding subtle interest while contrasting with its vivid red stems and leaves in pond margins or aquascapes. This species thrives in consistently moist or shallowly submerged soil and provides ecological value by offering shelter for aquatic insects and supporting wetland biodiversity. Its upright, spreading habit and striking red foliage make it ideal for pond edges, bog gardens, and naturalistic or planted water features.
