Product information
Allegro is an early-season, June-bearing strawberry from Marshalls Garden that fruits from early June to early July. It grows fast and produces large, sweet red berries with reliable fruit set thanks to abundant pollen. The plant has an upright habit with flowers beneath the canopy, offering some protection from early frosts. It shows good resistance to crown rot, Verticillium wilt and powdery mildew. PREMIUM bare-root plants can produce up to 10 flower stalks with 6+ fruits per stalk, giving three to four times more fruit in year one compared with traditional runners. Grow in fertile, well-drained, organic-rich soil (pH 5.5–6.8) in pots, patios, borders, raised beds or vegetable plots. Feed sparingly with low-nitrogen fertiliser during early vegetative growth, then switch to a high-potash feed once flowers and fruit appear. Allegro is perennial, reaches 0.1–0.5 m, and yields red, edible summer fruit.

Features and benefits
Marshalls Garden ‘Allegro’ strawberry plants are an early June-to-July bearing variety that produces large, sweet fruit. Fast vegetative growth and early fruiting make them ideal for quick harvests; switch from a lower-nitrogen feed to a high-potash feed once flowers and fruit appear. The upright habit places flowers under the canopy, helping protect blossoms from light frosts, while abundant pollen promotes reliable fruit set with few misshapen berries. ‘Allegro’ offers broad resistance to crown rot, Verticillium wilt and powdery mildew. For greater first-year yields, choose the PREMIUM bare root runners, which can produce up to 10 flower stalks with 6+ fruits per stalk.
