Darwin hybrid tulips are well-loved for their excellent large flowers, vibrant colours and reliability. This mix produces a rainbow of colours to brighten up the spring garden. For real impact, plant in large groups. Ideal for borders or containers
- Planting location: Suitable for beds, borders or containers
- Soil moisture: Moist & well drained
- Flowering period: April-May, Planting period: Aug-Dec
- Hardiness: H4 – Hardy through most of the UK (-10 to -5°C)
- Plant in a sunny spot. Add some compost and bonemeal into the planting hole before planting. In heavy clay soils add horticultural grit to the bottom of the planting hole to help with drainage In the growing season, water plants in containers during dry spells. Top dress with a general purpose plant food as the last flowers fade. Allow foliage to die down naturally. Flowering results improve each year
