Grape Hyacinths are fantastic bulbs for patio pots and beds and borders and require very little attention once planted. These pollen-rich plants provide essential nectar for early emerging wildlife and the vibrant flowers will come back year after year. They look gorgeous peeping out of a large patio pot, planted with spring-flowering pansies.

• Planting location: Suitable for planting in containers, flower beds or in grass.
• Soil moisture: Moist & well drained
• Flowering period: April-May, Planting period: Aug-Dec
• Hardiness: H4 – Hardy through most of the UK (-10 to -5°C)
• Plant in a sunny or partially shaded spot. Add compost and bonemeal into the planting hole before planting. In heavy clay soils add horticultural grit to the bottom of the planting hole. Water well. In the growing season, water plants in containers during dry spells. Top dress with a general purpose plant food as the last flowers fade. Allow foliage to die down naturally. Flowering results improve each year
